PLATELET RICH PLASMA TREATMENT

The Vampire Facial, otherwise known as a Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) skin treatment is suitable for everyone of all ages. Whether you’re looking to reverse visible signs of aging or sun damage, or simply want a preventative solution for keeping skin youthful, PRP can help. PRP micro-needling treatments are ideal because it allows us to use each individual patient’s own natural healing system to improve and repair the body, making it ideal for most candidates. Prescription anti-aging ointments, creams and lotions can cause nasty side effects depending on your skin type, allergies and other factors. PRP, on the other hand, uses blood from your own body, virtually eliminating the chance of an allergic reaction. Tighten your skin and diminish any fine lines, and treat wrinkles with the Vampire Facial

What is Vampire Facial Treatment ?

Vampire facial therapy is a natural treatment involving the use of the patient’s own blood to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration.

During vampire therapy, a small sample of the patient’s blood is drawn and processed in a centrifuge machine to produce a concentrated sample of sub-components – plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. The latter are tiny cells in the blood that are responsible for clotting and wound healing. Concentrating them can increase their growth factors, which stimulates the wound–healing process.

Your practitioner will then proceed with a micro-needling treatment which creates tiny channels into the dermal level of the skin. This stimulates the growth of new collagen & elastin aswell as the clearing out of old, damaged tissue that is in the skin. During your micro-needling treatment your PRP is applied into the tiny channels created by microneedling thus penetrating into the dermis where the new collagen & elastin are being produced.

Vampire facials are considered a natural treatment because it uses the patient’s blood cells and avoids using synthetic drugs or other foreign substances. It is also minimally invasive and typically does not require anesthesia.

Skin Rejuvenation

Collagen production: The growth factors attributed to this treatment can stimulate collagen production in the skin, improving skin texture, elasticity, and overall appearance. Collagen is a protein that gives skin structure and elasticity, and its production decreases as we age, leading to wrinkles and fine lines.

Little to no downtime: Vampire facials for skin rejuvenation typically require little to no downtime, allowing patients to return to their daily activities soon after treatment. This quick healing response is because vampire facials are a minimally invasive procedure that does not require anesthesia.

Long-lasting results: Vampire facials for skin rejuvenation can provide long-lasting results, as the growth factors utilized can stimulate collagen production even after the initial treatment, resulting in sustained improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall appearance.

What to Expect for Your Vampire Facial & Injections Appointment

  1. Consultation: The first step in the vampire facial process is usually a consultation with a practitioner. During this consultation, the practitioner will evaluate your skin and discuss your goals for the treatment. In addition, our medical team will also review your medical history to ensure you are a good candidate for the treatment.

  2. Blood draw: Once you have been cleared for treatment, a small amount of your blood will be drawn, usually from your arm. The blood will then be placed in a centrifuge, which spins the blood at high speeds to separate the blood into its basic components.

  3. Infusion: Once the plasma has been seperated, it is strategically applied to the targeted area along with a micro needling procedure. This treatment is relatively painless, but you may feel some mild discomfort or pressure while the micro needling treatment is performed.

  4. Post-treatment care: After the treatment , we recommend that you avoid strenuous physical activity along prolonged exposure to UV for a day or two. We will also provide detailed follow up instructions on how to care for your skin. You may experience some mild swelling and redness but these side effects should resolve within a few days.

  5. Follow-up appointments: Depending on the type of vampire facial you receive, you may need to return for follow-up appointments to achieve optimal results. Typically a sequence of 3 or more vampire facials is recommended. The practitioner will discuss your treatment plan and follow-up schedule with you during your initial consultation.
